TAFEDA: Paper embossing specialists

Tafeda is a family business established in the Shoalhaven Area in 1997 as an engineering service provider. The following year, owner Fernando Del Castillo and two sons started building their first sheet fed embosser machine expanding the business into embossing service. This creates a unique capability not available previously in Australia.

To satisfy a long time dream, we designed the machine ourselves and built it with the help of locally qualified tradespeople. By end of 2000, we had grown out of our initial premises in Culburra industrial estate, and relocated into a purpose built and privately owned building in the Nowra (Flinders) Industrial Estate. Since the relocation, Tafeda has grown further and developed a broad production facility capable of servicing the entire Australian market for embossed paper and cardboard. During this time we have continued to source the majority of our needs locally.

As paper and cardboard embossing specialists, with a high level of experience in the paper and printing industry world wide, Tafeda has the capacity to tailor a product to customer requirements, ensuring it fits the purpose of the post emboss application. Embossing can be provided on demand on any paper and cardboard product from 50gsm up, any colour, coated or uncoated, bleached or unbleached, sheets or reels, small or large volume, before or after printing. Nothing is too much trouble for the people at Tafeda!

Being a family owned and operated company, we have the flexibility to work the longer hours to offer a quick turn around on any order as required. Tafeda is a unique company that designs and builds its own machines and equipment, which provide the capacity and flexibility to develop over a short period of time, whatever customer's requirements and dreams are.

Tafeda is located in Nowra at a short distance to major capital cities and an area where skilled manual labour or youth willing to learn is available when required.

Finally, a unique development has taken place and been introduced to the market. It is a range of personalised embossed products that add a "distinguished touch and security with every document you send". The introduction of a company logo, company name or specific related pictures onto the surface of the paper brings an elegant and distinctive touch to stationery without interfering with any letterhead graphics or the printability of the sheet in conventional or modern printing technology.
